As our community continues to grow, we need various voices and differing backgrounds to bring dialog, perspectives, and experiences to the table. Any decision-making body always does better when there’s a mix of women and men or has people from varying backgrounds. She has applicable experience as a former teacher and will do everything she can to support them.
With the failure of the proposed bond last year, there needs to be more community buy in regarding how and when and why and what we are going to do with the massive growth that we are already behind in. Building and bonding for schools needs to be done as carefully as possible while giving teachers and students the best. Every point of view is valid even when there's a disagreement. I believe Marianne is willing to explore all options and will help bridge the relationship between the public and the board.
